FDT (2017)
This morning I awoke from a nightmare and realized I had awoken to another. I fought the urge to bury myself under my sheets. I chose to get up. We have to get up. Get up.
In creating this mixtape, I needed a constructive means to articulate my rage. I needed the sound of my rejection to bigotry and hate to be heard. Sometimes this is loud. Sometimes this is witty. Sometimes this is reason. Sometimes this is “Fuck you.” This is the sound of all of that. Refuse to be silent.
This is 45 minutes directly addressing the would-be 45th president. This is a soundtrack that grabs back. This is the beat that lashes and causes oppression to scatter.
The struggle is beautiful.
